at the farmhouse sink

baseboards so crisp

I become better

moldings crowning me good

What else can Tracy Do

for me? Finish my novel

unfuck my left hip

give me a skylight above the toilet

a lemon balcony

The goddess Mayari is blind in one eye

for Alex

The animal kingdom teaches us

that the loss of one sense

naturally enhances the others.

Recently I’m less interested in sharpening

and more about giving up. I lost myself

on the way back from the bathroom

again last night. Luckily, my husband

a beacon in the swamp.

When I reached the hot nest of blankets

he guided my hand to his ass and said

This is my face

In the dark any lobster can be a wolf,

any woman can fall asleep laughing.
