Robin Turner

Artist Statement:

Some now-and-then erasure poetry became a daily creative practice for me in January of 2025. Since then, it has been my obsession and my salvation during these strange and troubling days we all find ourselves navigating. More recently, I have begun incorporating collage, cutting and gluing and playing my way into a visual poetry voice that feels like my own. I love the process, every part of it.  These pieces began with erasures from the pages of two old Nancy Drew mysteries circa 1959 (Grosset & Dunlap).

Robin Turner makes poems and poem-like things in Dallas, Texas. Recent work appears in Unlost, Anacapa Review, Pithead Chapel, Verse Daily, and elsewhere. Her chapbooks are bindweed & crow poison (Porkbelly Press) and Elegy with Clouds & (Kelsay Books). She is a community teaching artist currently working with writers from the Cancer Support Community of North Texas.
